finally.

Ever since Avery was born, my parents finally agree that having a computer (and access to the internet!) is a necessity. They make use of the webcam and skype/msn practically everyday to see their precious granddaughter. It is so funny to watch them on the other side trying to figure out how to maximize the chatting screen window or how to scan photos and such. My mom even enjoys using the facebook account I set up for her awhile back and is sometimes more up to date than I am on current fb status updates. Even my 94 year old grandma skypes with us. Go figure.

It's the hubby's 34th birthday today. The four of us had a low key celebration dinner at Cheesecake Factory.  Man, we're getting old. No more elaborate surprise birthday parties anymore! Sorry hubs - maybe next year. Happy Birthday! 

R.I.P Snoop

Our doggie Snoop back home in Taipei passed away last night. Mourning the death of a pet is definitely harder than I thought. You will be missed, Snoop! We love you always and we'll never forget the 15 memorable years you gave us.

Scorching Saturday

It was so damn hot today. We went on our weekly farmer's market stroll in the am followed by a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond to purchase some fans. Avery went for a swim (more like float) in her tub today. Ugh..summer is right around the corner which means ...less clothing...more skin......diet time. sigh.... Still trying to lose all the weight I gained from lil miss Avery. Time to join weight watchers.

back from the dead...

Oh my goodness, has it really been that long since my last post?!

Aside from raising lil miss Avery, my life has been pretty uneventful for the past 6 months. I can't believe I've survived this long. I admit though - I've become one of those "I love my baby so much" mothers. I don't even know where to begin, but I guess I'll just jump right in. Here's a snippet of what I've been up to lately....

Yes, the long burping is coming from me. It's gross, I know, but I almost fainted trying to make my baby laugh her ass off. Maybe I should try out for America's Got Talent.

I've been wanting to blog for awhile now, but whenever I have down time, I just want to sit on my lazy bum and rot. And watch trashy television shows. I think it's time I try and live somewhat of a normal life again....whatever that means!
