Empire of Cuteness

The BFF's wedding invitation arrived in the mail over the weekend while we were in New Orleans. Look how ridiculously cute it is! She is seriously going to have an Empire of Cuteness like Sanrio in the near future. I can't wait!

California Gurls

Hammy is back from the big easy! Thankfully, the BFF's hen party was a success. Nothing too raunchy happened over the weekend, but we did make a music video to "California Gurls". It wasn't quite like Katy Perry's, but it will make do. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm allowed to share with anyone but the ladies. Some highlights of our trip:

I forgot to mention that I bought a pair of sequence flats the same day I dropped the hubby off the airport last week. It was to help fill the void he left me. I don't own anything Coach but these were too cute. And only 36 bucks.

..tis the season..

...to be flaky. Seriously, my dandruff is out of control. It must be the hot weather plus the sunburn on my scalp from last weekend's Tahoe trip. I feel like the girl in "The Breakfast Club" - remember her below? She's so awesome. I do secretly enjoy scratching my scalp and making the flakes fly all over. I guess it's no secret anymore.

I'm also secretly excited to watch "Step Up 3D". I may just have to force my BFF to watch it with me since we did watch Step Up 1 together.

Eclipse x2 ..much..

I watched "Eclipse" for the second time tonight with my friend Jen and her man Jeff - who was not coerced, but came by his own will. It was cheesy the first time I watched it, but the second time around, I just couldn't help but crack up at many of the scenes. Sadly, I still cannot wait for the 4th installment to come out.

east meets west...

I bought groceries today for the first time in a very long time and I actually cooked dinner. It was a very simple meal:

1) tomato fried egg (translated from chinese)
2) snap peas
3) quinoa

I've never cooked quinoa before but it was surprisingly very easy. I don't think Asians eat quinoa - but it was my replacement for rice. I'm trying to be healthy here. I actually like the taste of quinoa, although it looks somewhat like golden pubic hair. I guess no one wants to try it now.

'till we meet again...

The hubby left for Asia today. As much as I complained about the messiness and all the "hubby" stuff, I miss him dearly. I hate it when I get used to having him around. Humph..Long distance for me again until next month. Does it ever end?!

In Aspen for a wedding...going down a gondola.. I'm a bit buzzed here..

Coffee Me Happy

The hubby recently purchased an espresso machine and has been learning to make a perfect cup of coffee every day since the purchase. It makes me happy to see him happy but he could make me even happier by cleaning up the coffee grinds and sink stains.
