Fuglies

I totally want to do this:

Goodbye Curtis...

We went to House of Prime Rib tonight for Curtis' going away dinner party. Curtis - aka wanna-be godfather to my godson - will be moving to North Carolina for business school. Good luck Curtis - in school and in..eh hem..love. You will be missed. Or rather, your cooking will be missed.

Got Lei'd.

The hubby and I went to a "houseleaving" party in the city last night hosted by my BFF's fiancee and his roommate. My BFF was in town and attended the party as well. It was hawaiian themed and of course, we got lei'd.

Awesome polaroids that make us look like the Cullens:

Fugly. Josh - aka le cub - aka BFF's fiancee - was showing me his big moobs and hairy pits. Hence my fugly face.

Mac Attack

My hubby has gone crazy with Apple products. He recently purchased:

1)MacBook Pro

2) iPad (iLove)

3) iPhone 4

I'm so jealous I hate him.

Home Etiquette

We tried a new restaurant called "Liang's Village Cuisine" for lunch today and it was yum yum yum! We ordered a bunch of dishes but the cold noodles with shredded chicken was my favorite! It actually had a taste of Taiwan to it. Their "red oil wonton" was delicious too. However, the only draw back is that my breath can now put vampires to sleep - forever. I can't wait to go back there again.

On the way back from lunch, the hubby was complaining to me about some of the men who lack gym etiquette while working out. He said that there were inconsiderate men who never put back their weights after lifting which in turn causes others to think the machine/bench is still occupied. I replied that it was a male thing because guys never like to put things back to the original place they took it from. I told him I wish he could apply the "gym etiquette" to our home because I'm constantly finding things in the house where they don't belong. Of course, he disagreed with me. Blah.

Death Yoga

I went to my Bikram yoga class tonight and I almost died. I swear, the instructor had the temperature at 1000 degrees. She was trying to suffocate her students! I felt like I was in a crematory! Creepy...

Earlier in the day, I met up with my godson and his mama for tea. Now that she's on summer vacation, we can continue our usual routine! YAY!

Oompa Loompa

I had a coupon for Planet Beach and decided to get my first mystic UV-free spray tan today. It was quite scary - and cold! I smell funky but thank god I don't look like an oompa loopa. At least not yet. Oh and Happy Father's Day to my papa!

Dance, Dance Baby!

My little niece Rae Rae before her dance recital below. She's growing up so quickly. :( I know she's going to be taller than I am. How sad! Good job Rae! We love you!

Hello, Kitty.

We drove up to the city today so the hubby could apply for a Chinese visa. Instead of waiting for him at the embassy, I strolled over to the Japantown Mall across the street. My first stop was the Sanrio store. My cousin and I frequented this shop numerous times when we were young. Nothing has changed! The shop has a certain "Sanrio" smell - like candy erasers and strawberry scented pencils. I bought a few items for my little niece Rae Rae since we will be going to her dance recital tomorrow evening. I miss being a kid!

Ahoy, Sailor

I don't own a single pair of shorts because I hate my legs, but this one is super cute! I guess it helps that the model is perfectly tanned, tall and skinny. Bitch!

I went to the gym and now I'm hungry. Even though I didn't really workout. Everything just looks so damn good. WTF.

I'm "Smith"en....

I accompanied my hubby to watch the remake of "Karate Kid" this evening and I am smithen by Jaden Smith! I was quite impressed with his kung fu moves and acting. He is just too cute. Jackie Chan was a fine replacement for the OG Mr.Miyagi as well. Remember Ralph Macchio in the original movie series? Oh how I loved him so.

I'm melting!

But my fat is not. It's 90 degrees out there and I just don't know what to do about my fat...I'm hoping the heat will miraculously melt it all away. Or I may just have to join weight watchers with the BFF.

I finally reunited with my godson and his mama today after 4 weeks of not seeing the both of them! We were supposed to go swimming (yes, even with my fat), but we ended up going to Tea Station for shaved ice and chicken wings instead. Twas just too hot. There was no way we could have let my godson have damaged skin! It was SO good to see them.

Later tonight I went over to a friend's place for a True Blood Season 3 premiere party. Creepy, I know. But I'm just prepping for the premiere of "Eclipse"!

Not-so-sexy in the City 2

I went to watch SATC2 with my friend Jen tonight and I hate to say it but..it sucked. There were a few moments I enjoyed that brought back some fond memories of the show but overall, it was ridiculous. Still, it is a must-see for SATC fans. I still like Mr.Big. What is it with girls and bad boys? Although, Mr. Big is a bad boy gone good.

I heart L.A.

I had a blast down in Los Angeles these past few days! We stayed at the BFF's place with her fiancee, her pup Beans, and two other pals who drove down from the bay area. Some highlights of this trip:

1) Surprise birthday gift from BFF - Lady GaGa concert tickets in August! Guess I will be going down again! I can't express how lucky and thankful I am.

2) The Bazaar - Supposedly a magical dining experience. For me, it was more about the company. However, there were interesting dishes such as the Cotton Candy Foie Gras and Sea Urchin Bao pictured below. I don't think it was worth the money, but it was fun anyhow.

3) Crumbs Cupcakes - I didn't end up getting my slice of Triple Berry Cake from Sweet Lady Jane, but the hubby surprised me with cupcakes from Crumbs and get this, a Red Velvet cupcake on steroids! Check it out:

4) BFF won the best direction award for her film "til death do us part". So proud of her! There are only 4 awards given every year. Although not updated yet, check out the site for more info: http://www.studentgroups.ucla.edu/aso/#/Awards-03-01/

5) Got to hang out with an old friend from high school and also my 8 months preggers friend Nanren - she's about to pop! She said being preggers is miserable. My mom-in-law confirmed it and also told her it's worse after the baby pops out. Mom-in-law is brutally honest.

6) BFF and I tried to learn New Edition's "If it isn't Love" dance routine for her wedding but it was a failure. However, we probably burned off a few calories from all the food we've been eating. I'm guessing 10?

7) J.Crew Romper - BFF and I purchased identical rompers from J.Crew but mine is floral patterned and hers is bright orange like the one below. It's quite comfy and we love it! The model below looks hungry. Clearly, the BFF and I look better in the romper than she does.

8) RIP jeans - Somehow, my jeans ripped right at the ass area and I didn't even notice until my right ass cheek felt a bit cold while sitting on the bench at The Bazaar. Thank god for the romper I bought.

City of Angels

We're driving down to Los Angeles in a few minutes! I'm so very excited!

Oldies but Goodies

The hubby and I are starting to pack for our move back to the motherland. Upon rummaging through old boxes of goodies, I found these:

My rock collection! The BFF and I recently discussed how we collected rocks as kids because we didn't know any better.

The postcards and letters above were sent from the BFF. We wrote each other quite a lot throughout our college years. From the collection, you can clearly see that some things just don't change.

Speaking of the BFF, we're driving down to LA tomorrow to support her film debut this coming Saturday! I'm so excited for the viewing - it's going to be fantabulous! I also can't wait to get my hands on a slice of Triple Berry Cake from Sweet Lady Jane. MmmmMmmmm...
