We had Zingerman's Deli for lunch today. I ordered "Randolph's Grand Debut" which was their take on a classic Parisian croque monsieur. My godson's mama would have loved it. It was probably the most expensive sandwich I've ever eaten, but it was delicious. Photos to come.

Handy Hammy

I'm currently in Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend my hubby's graduation. I've been helping him clean up his apartment and pack for his move back to Cali. He's still finishing up some final touches on his apartment. I even helped him switch out some old door hinges and built a desk from IKEA. I'm so handy.

More good news of the day - I was invited to dinner with my godson, his mama and her family today at Semo Sushi. It was yummy and I had a great time - I love being a part of her family. Baby J is so adorable. I have to admit, I enjoy being an Auntie.

Happy Birthday Shady

My baby turned 5 today! Your momma loves you mucho mucho! Oh, and yesterday was the hubby's birthday. I guess I love him too.

We Heart Target

The BFF and I are loving Target lately. We both bought super cute Eugenia Kim hats for Target and we love them! We are going to wear our hats together next time we reunite. See hers here.

I actually bought two because I couldn't decide on which one was cuter. What do you think? I may end up keeping both. Shopping at Target is so fun - and the price points doesn't make me want to cry either.

Stitch Bitch

I've been hired by my BFF for some sweat shop labor consisting of cross stitching credits for her animation film. It's very time consuming, but quite fun. We're going to create our own line of cross stitch mottos and quotes and sell them. Taking orders now!

Funky Pee

I peed on a pregnancy stick for obvious reasons and it resulted in neither a negative nor positive. WTF? There's something wrong with my pee. Thankfully, nature called and confirmed it should have been a negative.

I went to watch a movie about graffiti art called "Exit Through The Gift Shop" this afternoon and was very intrigued by the film. I've never heard of the British graffiti artist Banksy until now, but I really like his art. I went on his site afterward and I want these:

Coral Reef Art

Today was Art Day for my godson's mama's class. I went in to help with their art project and it was so much fun! Their assignment was to draw a picture of a coral reef then outline with crayons and paint over it with crayon-resist watercolors. I even got to draw one myself! We didn't have enough time to finish the project, so it will be continued next Monday. Here's my work so far:


I draw just like a 3rd grader! The kids are so cute and they call me Mrs.Lin. Can't wait to finish my project next week. By the way, that round orange thing is supposed to be a blowfish. FAIL.

House of Terrier

I'm babysitting my friend BerBer's two yorkies Milo and Lily this weekend. Seeing three yorkies in my home is such a funny sight. Milo is almost two times bigger than Shady and Lily is about one times bigger. Walking them is definitely a challenge!

Time Management

I need some help managing my time. I never used to be a web surfer, but now I just can't stop. I know I'm not working right now, but I don't like to feel that I'm wasting each day of my jobless life. So I write a laundry list of to-do's everyday, but somehow, I get sidetracked and things are not checking off that list. There's so much to do before my move back to Taipei as well, but .. I just don't want to do any of it. I did go to Target today and scored some pillows that were on clearance. That was not on my list for sure.

Sticky Monday

I found these sticky pics the hubby and I took in Taiwan over Christmas break. My BFF and I had a collection of these in college. I think we spent at least $500 or more on sticky pics over the years. We love it.


I also found Shady curled up in a basket full of clean laundry when I came home from Yoga today. She's such a funny puppy!

High Tea Queens

The same group of ladies who enjoyed high tea with me at Lovejoy's a few weeks ago decided that we should host our own high tea party. Our friend BerBer was kind enough to host it at her super cute and greatly decorated home. She even had all matching place sets and the whole deal! The four queens enjoyed an afternoon over homemade dishes and desserts. We had way more food than needed for the four of us but we had a fantabulous time and we definitely outdid Lovejoy's. I will post some photos after I get them from my godson's mama.

Attack of the Munchies

Lately, I've had the attack of the munchies. I cannot stop eating! Please someone, help me! Send me to a food addiction center. I beg of you. I was once told by an ex-supervisor that I looked like Bridget Jones. At that time, I was a bit chunkier so I can see why she thought so. Sadly, I'm starting to feel like I'm molding into her again. I'm an asian Bridget Jones!

It's Fryday...

Doggie Tooth Fairy

Shady went to the vet to get her teeth cleaned today and ended up having 2 of her teeth extracted! :( I was so sad. They saved her tiny teeth and kept them in a little plastic test tube. I'm not sure what to do with it because I think it's kinda disgusting. Are there doggie tooth fairies?

Did you know that yorkies ranked #27 of 79 in obedience/working intelligence? That's actually not too bad. But I think Shady must be an anomaly.

Bling Bling

I enjoyed a sunny day afternoon brunch with my godson and his mama at Santana Row today. We even treated ourselves to Kara's cupcakes for dessert. Afterward, we strolled over to Valleyfair to check out the new iPad. I want one! I hate Apple.

Somehow, we ended up at the jewelry store we used to frequent before I got tied down. We caved and tried on some asscher cut diamond rings - my favorite! They were so beautiful. Sadly, we walked out empty handed. My godson was blinded by the bling so we had to put some shades on him.

Puff Mommy

I went to my Bikram yoga class today and this fat, mexican lady next to me farted loudly during one of our poses! It sounded like this puffy daddy fart from the soundboard below (click on puff daddy):

It was hilarious! Of course I was the only one cracking up. Puff Mommy must have eaten too many beans for lunch. The funny thing is, I was craving a burrito after class. It's that time of the month!

I had dinner with a friend tonight at the Japanese Fusion Tapas restaurant "Gochi". I love this place! Because there were only two of us, we couldn't order too many dishes. But I always end up getting these Risotto Croquette Balls:

I went to a friend's baby's 1st birthday party today and they had a blowup jumper in the backyard for all the kids. I was quite entertained by the grandparents who were having their own fun:





Again, there were so many babies there - but the cutest baby of them all was Pepper, their 3-year-old yorkie:



She reminded me of Shady, but half the weight. I sent the pictures to the hubby and told him I wanted another one. To my surprise, he said ok - oh my goshness, I can't believe it! He must have cheated on me.
